Abstract

I consider queer lived experience through a focus on LGBTQIA asylum seekers while also looking towards the ways in which queering as an epistemological standpoint can be used to challenge the state-based system of the global order. I highlights the ways in which LGBTQIA identities have been structured and made sense of by the state in raced, classed, gendered and imperial ways, arguing that a queer approach to migration must centre around a politics of no borders.
